Meet the SLP - Sydnee Geyerman, M.S., CCC-SLP

Meet the SLP

THIS WEEK ON THE BLOG…

We are thrilled to welcome Speech Language Pathologist, Sydnee Geyerman, M.S. CCC-SLP to KLC Pediatric Therapy! Sydnee will be in the East Dallas clinic serving the families in Sunnyvale, Mesquite, Forney, Rockwall, Heath Lake Highlands and surrounding areas. We are honored to have her on our team and we can't wait for you to meet her!

Tell us a little about you and your journey in becoming a SLP - where are you from, where did you go to school, what are your degrees in?

I am from Mansfield, TX, but currently living in Dallas. I have a bachelor’s degree in Child Professional Services from Texas A&M University, a bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders and Deaf Education from Utah State University, and a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of St. Augustine.

Who in your life do you most look up to? Why?

I look up to my dad. He has worked very hard to get to where he is today. He is involved in multiple organizations and prioritizes learning everyday. I think it’s great that he prioritizes bettering himself every day and it is very inspirational.

What’s your favorite place to go out to eat in DFW?

It is hard to choose just one because there are so many good restaurants! If I had to pick, I would say Pappasito’s!

What do you like to do in your free time?

I enjoy taking workout classes like yoga and Pilates! I often take workout classes with friends and we go out to eat. I also like to read on my kindle with a candle lit and relax with a face mask! I love all things cozy and relaxing.

Tell us a little about your family.

I have a sister who recently graduated from Texas A&M University. Although I’m happy for her, I’m also sad that I no longer have as many excuses to go to College Station, TX. In high school and college, my parents became registered foster parents. It was through this experience that I was introduced to Speech Language Pathologists. I also have a cat named Skye and he is my baby!

Are you more introverted, extroverted, or a mixture of both?

I would say that I am more introverted! I love staying in, reading, and relaxing at home.

What is one thing you would like families to know about you?

I love what I do! I am so lucky to enjoy what I do as a career. I get so excited when I see children master their goals. I love to have fun with speech therapy and develop relationships with my clients and their families!
