Meet the SLP - Jill Tutle, M.S., CCC-SLP

Meet the SLP

THIS WEEK ON THE BLOG…

We are thrilled to welcome Speech Language Pathologist, Jill Tutle, M.S. CCC-SLP to KLC Pediatric Therapy! Jill will be in the East Dallas clinic serving the families in Sunnyvale, Mesquite, Forney, and surrounding areas. We are honored to have her on our team and we can't wait for you to meet her!

Tell us a little about you and your journey in becoming a SLP - where are you from, where did you go to school, what are your degrees in?

I am an ASHA certified Speech Language Pathologist specializing in early intervention and pediatric speech, language, and feeding disorders. I spent the first 8 years as an SLP in private practice, early intervention, and elementary school settings.

I studied Communication Sciences and Disorders at The University of Oklahoma and Texas Woman's University in undergrad, and received my master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Texas Woman’s University.

Who in your life do you most look up to? Why?

My mom. I have always respected my mom and looked up to her. Now as a mother myself, I am in awe of how she balanced being a mom, business owner, community leader, and an endless list of other things to so many different people. She is intelligent, determined, and loving. I hope to be just like her one day!

What’s your favorite place to go out to eat in DFW?

Uchi ba; Family/casual: Urban Rio

What do you like to do in your free time?

I love spending time with family/friends, running, taking the girls on play dates or new adventures, traveling. I love spending my days off going on adventures with my girls to local parks, libraries, swimming at their grandparents house etc. We also take a few trips to Steamboat, Colorado each year to ski or enjoy summer time bliss in the mountains!

Tell us a little about your family.

Tanner and I grew up in the same small town, east of Dallas. We dated long distance through college and got married in 2016. After spending a couple of years in North Texas, we moved back to our small town with our 2 beautiful girls and 2 crazy doggies.

Are you more introverted, extroverted, or a mixture of both?

Pretty extrovert, I could chat with just about anyone!

What is one thing you would like families to know about you?

I’m a mom of 2 young children myself. I know how challenging parenthood can be-with or without a communication disorder. Giving children and parents the power to communicate effectively is a gift I don’t take lightly. We will have fun, but we will also work hard! Parents/caregivers are such an important part of the speech therapy journey.
