We are so excited to welcome Speech Language Pathologist, Kristen Hanvey, M.S. CCC-SLP to KLC Pediatric Therapy! Kristen will be in the Aledo/Willow Park clinic serving the families in Aledo, Willow Park, Hudson Oaks, Fort Worth and surrounding areas. We are honored to have her on our team and we can't wait for you to meet her!

Tell us a little about you and your journey in becoming a SLP - where are you from, where did you go to school, what are your degrees in?

At a young age I knew I was designed to help give a voice to those who did not have one, and equip people to become effective communicators. I was born and raised in Fort Worth- I love my hometown! I graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor's in Communication Sciences & Disorders... Sic 'em Bears!  I received my Master's in Communication Disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas. 

What’s your favorite place to go out to eat in DFW?

Curly's Custard is always my go to for a treat, but I love a good burger or steak.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I like to read, go to the pool, and go on adventures with my family. 

Tell us a little about your family.

I've been married to my amazing husband Matthew for nearly 19 years, and we have two lovely daughters, Georgia age 13, and Adeline age 11. 

Are you more introverted, extroverted, or a mixture of both?

Probably somewhere in between, but I love quality time and getting to know people well. 

What is one thing you would like families to know about you?

I am passionate about our field! I love my job and I love serving families. I've been blessed to work with children in public schools, home health, rehab, and private practice since I began as an SLP in 2006.
