Posterior Lingual Pops

This exercise focuses on keeping the front part of the tongue on the palate while releasing suction of the back part of the tongue. This is a really important skill that needs to be mastered before we can begin to work on correct swallowing

Suction entire tongue to palate. Lower jaw, keeping tongue tip to the spot, as back of the tongue is released. It should make a “squishy” sound.

Strain should not be seen in the face, lips, or neck

Goal: 10 slow releases. 25 rapid releases
