We are so excited to welcome Speech Language Pathologist, Shannon Elliott, M.S. CCC-SLP to KLC Pediatric Therapy! Shannon serves families in-clinic, in-home, and in-preschool during the summer and after school with KLC. We are honored to have her on our team and we can't wait for you to meet her!

Tell us a little about you and your journey in becoming a SLP - where are you from, where did you go to school, what are your degrees in?

I grew up in Waco, Texas (before it was cool) then went to Oklahoma State where I got both my bachelors and masters in Communication Sciences and Disorders. GO POKES!

Who in your life do you most look up to? Why?

My mom, she has been the greatest example in how to juggle family, work, friendships, and all the other things life throws at you while also taking care of herself. I just hope I can do it as gracefully as she did.

What’s your favorite place to go out to eat in DFW?

We love Press Cafe! Great food, we get to play outside, and it's next to Heart of the Ranch where we got married.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Anything outside! If we're not on a soccer or softball field, we try to sneak off to Durango, CO or Galvestion any chance we get.

Tell us a little about your family.

My husband Seth and I have been married for 10 years this Spring. We have 3 great kiddos that keep us busy in the best way, Emma Kate (6), Gage (4), and Davie (6 months). We've lived in Aledo the last 4 years and we love it!

Are you more introverted, extroverted, or a mixture of both?

A good mixture of both. I love going out and visiting with friends as much as I love cuddling up on the couch watching a good movie.

What is one thing you would like families to know about you?

My ultimate goal is that therapy benefits the WHOLE family!
